Behavior[]

Ballast flora hijack the submarines hatches, doors, and pumps to protect itself and harm players. It thrives when underwater.

Removing[]

Empty the ballast of water, do this by disconnecting the controlling wire from the pump in said ballast with a screwdriver, you can reattach it later. Once you manually empty the ballast, it is important to have a healing item such as Fentanyl or Morphine, as Ballast Flora tend to lock the escape hatch and flood the ballast with acidic gas in an attempt to kill anyone removing it. Proceed to enter the ballast and use a Plasma Cutter on the pump within the ballast. Once damage is being taken it is important to then administer morphine quickly in order to out heal the incoming damage. Continuously burn the Flora at the source pump until it is fully gone. Using the flamer or other fire type weapons pose serious danger for the user and the submarine, the Plasma cutter is safer and less harmful.

You can also use the engineer clothing and diving suit to decrease damage from the acid.

According to roadmap[1], can be killed with chemicals; however, this is not yet implemented as of v0.11.0.10.
