As such, not all content is relevant to the Steam release. So please wait patiently as the contents are updated, and feel free to contribute new information once the Steam version of Barotrauma is released!

The diving mask is a piece of head gear that can be equipped in Barotrauma.
Function[edit | edit source]
Much like the Diving Suit, diving masks allow players to breathe when underwater. The downside is it will not protect the player from the ocean's water pressure, which will still crush them should they try exiting the submarine.
In order for the mask to function, an Oxygen Tank must be placed inside. Alternatively, one can use an Oxygenite Shard which proves 50% more air than the Oxygen Tank. Equipping a Welding Fuel Tank inside the mask will cause the player to asphyxiate.
You can also use the diving mask to disguise yourself by taking off or putting on another player's ID Card while wearing it.
