The Handheld Sonar is an electrical portable sonar that works like the Submarine's sonar in the Navigation Terminal. It is powered by a Battery Cell and it drains rapidly if using Active Sonar often.

Usage[]

Using the Handheld Sonar displays the Sonar GUI, which is particularily useful for finding Mission objectives in locations inaccessible by the submarine, such as Artifacts.

The submarine itself will also always be displayed, helping the player find it back after venturing far from it.

Caution is advised when using the the active sonar, as, just like the submarine version, it produces noise and may attract Creatures.
